We comply with the Data Protection Act with respect to patient records stored on the computer, and provide a confidential service to all our patients. If you wish to speak to a receptionist in confidence a room will be provided.
We strive to deliver a high quality service to all our patients. Occasionally, things will not go as well as we would have hoped, and we welcome your feedback in order for us to improve the service which we provide to you.
The practice has a written complaints procedure, a copy of which is available on request at reception. If you wish to make a formal complaint, please write to either Tessa Orton-Jones (Practice Manager) or Dr J R Knight (Partner responsible for complaints procedure).
Please tell us in detail what happened, together with why you are concerned and what you would like to happen in the future. We cannot investigate a complaint made more than six months after the event occurred.
If you wish to complain on behalf of someone else, please obtain their written permission.
Zero Tolerance Policy
We have a duty to provide a safe and secure environment for our doctors, nurses, reception staff, patients and visitors. Violent or abusive behaviour such as those listed below will not be tolerated and decisive action will be taken to protect staff, patients and visitors.
- Threatening or abusive language involving swearing or offensive remarks
- Derogatory racial or sexual remarks
- Malicious allegations relating to doctors, members of staff, other patients or visitors
- Abuse of alcohol or drugs on the premises
- Drug dealing
- Wilful damage to Health Centre property
- Threats or threatening behaviour
Freedom of Information Act - Publication Scheme
The Freedom of Information Act requires public bodies to adopt and maintain a Publication Scheme and to deal with requests for information. Access to personal and patient information is still governed by the Data Protection Act 1998.
The Publication Scheme is a complete guide to the information routinely made available to the public by Doctors Evans, Knight, Tanner, Hughes, Clarke and Edwards at Llangollen Health Centre. It is a description of the information about our General Practitioners and Practice which is reviewed annually. For a copy of this leaflet please ask at reception or write to the Practice Manager.
