Influenza season is due to begin on 1 October, and we would like to let our patients know that the way you receive your flu vaccination invitation may look a little different this year.
Invitations and appointments
Appointments for our flu clinics here at the surgery will be allocated by the Health Board for eligible patients. You will receive your appointment details by letter through the post.
If the appointment offered is not convenient for you, please contact the surgery directly. Our reception team will be able to rearrange your appointment for you.
Flu and COVID vaccinations
Some patients who are eligible for a flu vaccination may also be eligible for a COVID vaccination. For those patients, both vaccinations will be offered during the same appointment.
Patients aged 65 and over
If you are aged 65 or over, you will be offered a flu vaccination. If you have not yet received a letter invitation, please contact the surgery and we can arrange an appointment for you.
Patients under 65
If you are under 65 and are immunosuppressed or have a health condition that you believe may make you eligible for a flu vaccination, please contact our reception team.
Our reception team will check your eligibility against the current NHS Wales guidance and, if you meet the eligibility criteria, they can arrange an appointment for you.
